Create Worksheet Content Using an AI Chatbot
In ChatGPT or your favorite AI chatbot, cut and paste the following prompt to help you create worksheet content for your students. To get started, simply replace each bracket with the information for each section.
Worksheet Prompt
You are an expert teacher skilled at creating effective and detailed resources for your students. Your task is to create a worksheet for my [GRADE LEVEL AND SUBJECT] students learning [TOPIC]. The worksheet should include [SPECIFIC CONTENT]. Provide [NUMBER OF ITEMS / PAGES] for [CONTENT CATEGORY]. Create two worksheets, a blank one for students and one with an answer key for teachers.
Example Prompt
You are an expert teacher skilled at creating effective and detailed resources for your students. Your task is to create a worksheet for my 9th grade, first year Latin students learning noun declension. The worksheet should include practice for singular and plural declension of first declension and second declension Latin nouns. Provide at least 10 nouns to practice for each category. Create two worksheets, a blank one for students and one with an answer key for teachers.
Additional Prompting Strategies
Ask the chatbot for tips on creating related resources, such as quizzes and vocabulary lists, that cover similar content. You can also ask the chatbot for help with direct instruction.
Have the chatbot create a series of worksheets that build upon each other - the perfect complement to a similar series of lessons. In this example, you could create subsequent worksheets that address third, fourth, and fifth declension nouns.
Use a chatbot to differentiate the learning material if the worksheets are too challenging or too easy for your students. You can also enlist the chatbot to give you tips for how you can help your students prepare for these worksheets.
