Designing Impactful AI Professional Learning for Educators
This 6-week online GenAI Literacy Trainer Essentials micro-credential equips individual tech coaches, instructional leaders, and other interested educators with the knowledge, strategies, and resources to effectively train and support educators in foundational Generative AI Literacy.

Working within a small, supportive cohort of peers and AI for Education coaches, participants will develop an original professional development session customized to their unique context and designed to develop educators’ foundational understanding, build practical skills, and explore the ethical considerations necessary for responsibly adopting generative AI in educational contexts.
Through live sessions, collaborative discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will learn how to:
Address common concerns and resistance to AI adoption in education
Communicate fundamental concepts about AI in an accessible, relevant way
Support educators in moving from understanding to implementation while preserving human creativity and oversight
Design effective professional development that resonates with educators with a variety of comfort levels with AI
