NYCPS’s HE3AT Program

Our work with the NYCPS’s HE3AT program has been one of the highlights of our career, and you'll see why in this student-created video.

This past year, AI for Education worked with a group of high schoolers from South Brooklyn to help shape GenAI policy proposals. We then asked the students to create PSA's for their policies.

We’re so impressed by these students, how thoughtful and creative they have been, how they have been advocates for their communities, championed equity and ethical adoption of GenAI, and brought their own unique perspectives and passion every time we’ve met.

We’re sharing the clip from the team voted as the winner by an expert panel, but I love them all so much we’ll be sharing each on our YouTube channel (they may have almost brought us to tears a few times).

Thanks to everyone involved in this amazing program, including each student, key district leaders like Superintendent Michael Prayor and Tara Carrozza and the Take Two Film Academy Inc. lead Justin!

And if you’re at ISTE LIVE next Tuesday, come join our session “Youth Innovators in AI: How NYCPS Connects Students to Real World Industries” about the HE3AT program and our work this year.
