Chatbot Cheatsheet

We often get questions from educators about different GenAI chatbots in terms of what are our favorites, how we use them, etc. The truth is, right now different chatbots excel at different tasks, so it's important to pick the right one for the task.

This handy comparison chart breaks down the key features, costs, and limitations of popular AI platforms, and most importantly, what they're best at.

- ChatGPT: Great for text generation and custom GPTs, with paid options for file attachments and image generation

- Anthropic's Claude: Excels in ethics, safety, and handling multimodal inputs. Free file attachments and the ability to create interactive elements with the new "Artifacts" feature

- Google Gemini: Offers free image generation, data analysis, and web connectivity, and no surprise, it's great for using with other Google tools

- Microsoft Copilot: Integrates well with Microsoft Suite, has internet acesss, and can create images

As with all Chatbots each of the tools make mistakes (hallucinations), carry bias, and sometimes do not act as expected. So verification of outputs is imperative.
