Create Worksheets Using an AI Chatbot

In ChatGPT or your favorite AI chatbot, cut and paste the following prompt to help you create worksheets for your students. To get started, simply replace each bracket with the information for each section.

Worksheet Prompt

You are an expert teacher and curriculum developer skilled at crafting resources for your students. Create a worksheet for my [grade level and subject] students learning [topic]. The worksheet should include [specific content]. Provide two worksheets: a blank one for students and one with an answer key for teachers.

Example Prompt

You are an expert teacher and curriculum writer skilled at crafting resources for your students. Create a worksheet for my 9th grade, first-year Latin students learning noun declension. The worksheet should include practice for singular and plural declension of first declension and second declension Latin nouns. Provide two worksheets: a blank one for students and one with an answer key for teachers.

Make the Prompt Work for You

• Ask the chatbot for tips on creating related resources, such as quizzes and vocabulary lists, that cover similar content. You can also ask the chatbot for help with direct instruction.

• Have the chatbot create a series of worksheets that build upon each other - the perfect complement to a similar series of lessons. In this example, you could create subsequent worksheets that address third, fourth, and fifth declension nouns.

• Use the chatbot to differentiate the learning material if the worksheets are too challenging or too easy for your students. You can also ask the chatbot to create versions for students with special or language needs.
